Guyanese shot dead in Barbados

A Guyanese contractor was gunned down in Barbados early this morning outside his home during a robbery.

Aubrey Butin, 43, of St James, sustained seven gunshot wounds and reportedly died on the spot. A lone gunman who was masked was said to have carried out the attack.

It is unclear what was stolen from Butin during the robbery, but he was well known on the island for wearing massive gold chains and rings. In addition, he was known for handling a lot of money.

No one has been held in connection with the murder and police on the island are investigating.
