Guyanese contractor shot dead in Barbados

Guyanese contractor, Aubrey Butin was gunned down in Barbados early yesterday morning outside his St James home during a robbery.

Butin popularly known as, ‘Tall Man’ was shot seven times and died on the spot. A lone gunman who was masked confronted Butin as he was entering his home and shot him.
Reports out of Barbados are that Butin was the victim of a robbery, but it is unclear what was taken from him. However, he was well known on the island for wearing massive gold chains and rings, in addition to handling a lot of money.

Reports out of Barbados are that Butin was a sought after contractor who worked in the upscale neighbourhoods serving elite clients.
He was said to be popular and was called ‘Tall Man’ because of his 6 ft stature.

He leaves to mourn his wife Whitney and two small children. Butin was said to have been living on the island for a number of years.
