Laluni Creek woman had spinal damage – PME reveals

The severe beating Ramdarrie Rajpattie sustained at the hands of her reputed husband resulted in damage to her spine, a post-mortem examination (PME) yesterday found.

Rajpattie’s daughter’s Seema told Stabroek News

that the PME revealed that her mother died from “licks” and that she had sustained spinal damage.

The woman said Rajpattie will be laid to rest today.

Police have been unable to locate the man, Bertie Baicho, who fled shortly after beating the 57-year-old mother of his 16 children with a cutlass last Monday. The woman succumbed to her injuries three days later at the Georgetown Hospital.

The incident occurred at Laluni Creek, Linden/Soesdyke Highway where the couple had been residing for more that three decades.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the murder of Nursery School Teacher Natalie Loncke remains at large.

Loncke, 41, was attacked by her boyfriend of a few months in the bedroom of her Norton Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown home just after 6 pm on Saturday last. She also sustained wounds to the neck and head.

Before stabbing her, the man reportedly lashed Loncke’s 19-year-old daughter Renatha Craig across the face with a bar.

Loncke, a mother of two, died about fifteen minutes after being rushed to the Georgetown Hospital in an unconscious state.

The PME was yesterday postponed to Friday.
