Rugby season further postponed

The Guyana Rugby Football Union has been forced to further postpone the opening of the Banks DIH Sevens Rugby Season and the School’s League. According to a press release from the  GRFU, they have been forced to make further adjustments to the season which was scheduled to commence today because the National Park playfield  is unusable.

“The Guyana Rugby Football Union has been forced to further postpone the official opening of the Rugby season with the holding of the Banks DIH Rugby Sevens competition because of the flooded condition of the National Park rugby ground and has also postponed the first School’s League competition to be contested for the year,” the release from the GRFU stated.

“It is hoped that these tournaments will be held on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday March 25th and 26th,” the release ended.
