Shemroy Lyght, 34, walked out of the Christianburg Magistrates’ Court a free man after a charge of harbouring fugitives, including Rondell ‘Fineman’ Rawlins, was dismissed.
Lyght was accused of harbouring Rawlins, Cecil Simeon Ramcharan aka ‘Uncle’ and ‘Magic,’ Robin Chung aka ‘Chung Boy,’ Mark Royden Williams and Otis Fiffee aka ‘Mud-Up,’ all of whom were wanted in connection with murders.
Magistrate Ann McLennan dismissed the case against Lyght, of Stewart Path, Christianburg, after the prosecution failed to present its main witnesses. Lyght’s attorney had made a no-case submission to the court and asked the Magistrate to return a not guilty verdict, after the prosecution failed to present its main witnesses in the matter.
