I think minibuses are given a route to work in an area. I live in the USA and when I come home I travel with minibuses around Guyana. One morning last week I was standing on the road to go to NA when a 63A bus stopped; it had papers in the back seat and the other seats were filled with nurses. I noticed it was not a 50 bus, so I said I was waiting for a 50 bus whereupon the driver got angry, cursed and drove away. I later caught a 50 bus and proceeded to Rosignol. When I reached D’Edward’s junction the same bus was there waiting for passengers. The 63A bus is marked ‘GT to Moleson Creek.’ How come these buses are collecting passengers along the road and the one which stopped for me was carrying newspapers? I then went to the stelling and caught a 56 minibus; I have noticed that these buses work with a good system and discipline. When I was coming back there were 63A buses, parked at the Palmyra loading point. What are the police in this country doing? Is there no law about bus routes in this country? This is unfair to the other buses which are operating according to the right route.
