Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo put Patrick Barry, alias ‘Blue’, on a one-year bond after he was found guilty of driving dangerously.
Presiding in the New Amsterdam Court, the magistrate also stipulated that should the bond be breached, Barry will be imprisoned for seven days.
Police said that on February 11 at 22:00 hrs, Barry of Asylum Street, New Amsterdam, was behind the wheel of PMM 2115 driving along Main Street at a fast rate of speed. He decided to overtake although it was not safe, while also ignoring the double lines road safety marker, thereby forcing a number of vehicles off the roadway.
