Two women looted clothes and Johnny Walker whiskey in house break-in

Two female labourers were yesterday granted bail in the sum of $80,000 each after they appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on a charge of break and enter  and larceny.

The allegation against Nevita Luke and Keisha Tate is that between March 13 and 16, at Public Road Kitty, they broke and entered the dwelling house of Samantha Robinson, and stole a quantity of clothing, one bottle of Johnny Walker whiskey and other items, all amounting to a value of $425,000.

The women, ages 30 and 19 respectively, were not required to plead to the indictable charge when it was read to them at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

After there was no objection to bail by the prosecution, the matter was adjourned until May 30, and the defendants were each placed on $80,000 bail.
