(De Ware Tijd) PARAMARIBO — Police Commissioner Krishna Hussainali-Mathoera of the Surinamese police Force cannot yet say whether they will be victorious in the fight against drug related crime but she is certain that they have hit them where it hurts this year. According to police statistics, 122 people were arrested on suspicion of drug related crimes, 86% of which were younger than 21. 97 of them were detained after interrogation and almost 400 kilos of drugs confiscated.
