Good Hope logger dies after tree mishap

Police say that investigations are being conducted into the death of logger Colin Bunbury of Good Hope, Essequibo Coast, which occurred at about 1130h today in the Kairuni area, Supenaam Creek.

Investigations, according to the police, so far have revealed that Bunbury and other workers were hauling a log up a hill when the chain they were using burst and became entangled with his feet. Bunbury was hurled into a tree causing him to sustain injuries about the body and was taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.
