Five pre-school centres benefit from training

Some 37 teachers, caregivers and parents drawn from five pre-school centres in the city yesterday benefited from a multi-task training workshop hosted by Kiskadee Kids Day Care and Play Group in Kitty.

The areas covered were early childhood development, healthy work relationships, autism, blood donation,child sexual abuse and AIDS awareness.

The pre-school centres involved were Little Sunshine, Green Acres, Holy Kids Foundation, Cherished Lambs and Kiskadee Kids. The sessions were facilitated by Maria Mitchell, Shauntel Maloney, Kerri Gravesande, Karen Williams, Paulette Bollers and Godryne Wintz. The aim of the workshop was to enhance the capacity of teachers, caregivers and parents to engage in new methods, skills and techniques in the execution of their work with children. This is the second such workshop hosted by Kiskadee Kids.
