Please permit me to offer sincere apologies to the Stabroek News for an inadvertent incorrectness which was published in a letter titled ‘Cartoonist must have a deep sense of responsibility.’ This letter was authored by yours truly and published in the Guyana Chronicle of Saturday, July 9, 2011.
The first sentence of the 5th paragraph of this article reads, inter alia, “On Saturday, July 2, 2011, the Stabroek News cartoonist proceeded into the realms of fantasy and untruth, and possibly illegality.” In fact, the cartoon in question was published in the Guyana Chronicle on Saturday, July 2, 2011, and not the Stabroek News.
I sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to the management and staff of the Stabroek News as a result of this inadvertence.
