Biker dies after losing control on Ave of the Republic

Elvis Singh died on Saturday after riding into a pool of water and subsequently losing control of his motorbike.

According to a press release issued by the police, the 53-year-old man of 117 Non Pariel was proceeding along  Avenue of the Republic when he rode into some water and lost control of his motor cycle. He fell and sustained injuries.

He was  then taken to the GPHC where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred around 11 pm on Saturday.

The family of Singh said they are unsure about what exactly happened and up to press time, the brothers had still not received any word from the police.

The family plans to bury the man as soon as possible after a post-mortem is carried out. Singh has left six children to mourn.
