Teen miner died after blunt trauma to head

Kenny Creame, the 19-year-old miner who was beaten to death at Monessee Backdam, at Port Kaituma last Tuesday, died as a result of blunt trauma to the head, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Crime Chief Seelall Persaud told this newspaper, when contacted, that two suspects were still in police custody. He could not say when they will be flown to the city to be charged.

The examination was conducted yesterday morning at Port Kaituma. Creame, called ‘Panka,’ of Two Miles Port Kaituma, was buried yesterday afternoon at the Oronoque Burial Ground. Relatives told this newspaper that there was no funeral service.

Reports are that Creame was beaten to death with pieces of wood by two men during an argument. The details that sparked the argument are unclear.
