One man held over St Cuthbert’s Mission Road ganja farm

Police on Sunday conducted a drug eradication operation at St. Cuthbert Mission Road, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, during which a two-acre field of cultivated marijuana plants was found.
 
A police release today said that the field comprised about 15,000 plants ranging in height between 6 feet and 8 feet. 1000 kgs of dried cannabis and two nurseries with approximately 20,000 seedlings were also found and destroyed along with the plants.
 
One man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations, the release said.
