The Mediation Institute of Guyana is hosting its first conference today.
In a press release, the Institute said the seminar is being held at the Ocean View International Hotel, under the theme “Embracing the Potential of Mediation.”
Chancellor of the Judiciary Carl Singh is expected to give an address on “Mediation in the Supreme Court,” while the feature address will be made by Trinidad and Tobago High Court Judge and President of the Mediation Board Justice Vasheist Kokoram.
Judges, attorneys, trained mediators and members of the business community are expected to participate.
Presentations will also be made by the president and treasurer of Guyana’s mediation institute Jamela Ali and Gamal Khan, respectively.
