The PPP/C’s list of candidates for the general and regional elections includes party stalwart Hari Narayen Ramkarran.
There had been questions about whether he would be on the list. Ramkarran, Speaker of the National Assembly,had contested for the presidential candidacy of the party but later withdrew in favour of the eventual winner Donald Ramotar.
Also on the party’s list of candidates is Bartica miner Fred McWilfred (see other story on centre pages) and financial consultant RK Sharma. The list also features MMA officials Rudolph Gajraj and Aubrey Charles. Bishop Juan Edghill also appears on the list along with Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Jennifer Webster.
Lists of candidates for the other parties were not available yesterday.
