The Ministry of Finance presented two sewing machines to the Uitvlugt Side-Line Dam Women’s Group on Thursday, fulfilling a commitment it made two months ago to provide assistance.
According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release, Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Jennifer Webster, presented the machines to secretary of the Group Dropatie Deonarine.
Webster gave assurances that a number of other items such as fabric, thread, baking pans and cake decorating utensils will be delivered shortly, in order to help the group fulfil its mandate to equip young women with a skill. The Group executes projects in sewing, catering and cake decorating.
In response, Deonarine expressed gratitude for the items.
