Catholic churches have organized special prayers prior to and on election day.
According to the November 18 edition of the Catholic Standard, the Georgetown Pastoral Area is inviting parishioners to partake of a day of fast and prayer on November 25th. An all night vigil will be held in the Brickdam Cathedral from 6 pm on November 25, ending with mass at 6 pm on November 26.
The report said that parishioners of the St Joseph the Worker parish in Linden have organized a Holy Hour on November 25 at 6 pm. There will also be a morning mass on election day, November 28.
