Two die in truck crash behind Buck Hall

Two persons are confirmed dead and several were injured after a truck overturned along the trail leading to the mining areas aback Buck Hall on the Essequibo River.

Dead are 35–year-old Stacey-Ann Benn nee Defreitas and her partner who was said to be in his 30s. Five other persons sustained injuries and were said to be in a serious condition. Among the injured is Tony Persaud, 24, of Adventure on the Essequibo Coast.

The incident occurred sometime before lunchtime today and the injured and dead were taken to the Suddie Regional Hospital late this afternoon.
