Staff at Fellowship Post Office are courteous and pleasant

Dear Editor,

I am a retiree now, but while I was in active employment, I travelled and lived almost throughout the entire coastland and even parts of the hinterland, and because I was obliged to make frequent contacts home during my absence in those days, I had to turn to the Post Office.

I must admit that while transacting business with the rural post offices, the attitude and behaviour of post office workers differed from each other, with some leaving much to be desired. Since going into retirement, and because I am at home now, the only post office I visit is the Fellowship Post Office on the West Coast Demerara.

On my first encounter with the Post Master and his staff, I was awestruck by the treatment meted out to me. The only conclusion I could come to was how it was to be human.
I later discussed my encounter with some of my friends who also told me that nothing differed from when I met the Post Master and his staff.

Even the letter carrier was courteous and pleasant. I wish the other post offices and government agencies could have people like those at the Fellowship Post Office.

Yours faithfully,
Vibert Singh
