Dead is Winifred Cobenna, 79, of Lot 104 Thomas Street, Kitty. Reports are that the woman, a former Kitty Market vendor, lived alone.
A neighbour of the woman related she had no relatives living nearby, but those she had would visit occasionally.
This newspaper understands that it was the odour of Cobenna’s decomposing body that sent a neighbour to her house, where the discovery was made. No foul play is suspected.
Cobenna’s body is at the Lyken’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem examination.
