Autopsies done on murdered father and son miners

Post-mortem examinations performed on the bodies of Daniel Higgins Junior and Senior on Monday revealed that the former died from an incised wound to the neck, while the latter succumbed from a perforation to the heart and lungs due to a gunshot wound.

The father and son, ages 48 and 22 respectively, were at their mining camp at White Water Backdam, Konawaruk, when a man approached and shot the elder Higgins about his body while another man chopped his son in the neck. The body of the elder Higgins was found buried in the mining pit.
