Seven charged for unlawful assembly outside Top Cop’s home

Police say that at about 0400h today, seven persons were arrested outside of Commissioner of Police Henry Greene’s residence at Lamaha Springs, Georgetown, and subsequently charged with unlawful assembly and taking part in an illegal procession.

Police said that Vanessa Belle, Melissa Leacock, Andrea Marks, Eslyn Jackson, Shondel Hope, Ann Adams and Natasha Johnson appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate Court before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry where they pleaded not guilty. They were placed on a bond to keep the peace and granted self-bail to return to court on January 09, 2012.
