The Guyanese playing the 4-4-2 formation signaled their intentions very early by scoring the first goal in the second minute of the game.
The opening goal came off the boot of Savona, a chip over Anguilla’s goalkeeper’s head from 15 yards out.

Anguilla regrouped and counterattacked the Guyanese in vain as their solitary shot on goal was saved by goalkeeper Simone Busby.
Leila increased the score line in the 35th minute after she pounced on the ball just outside the box that was headed by an Anguillan defender after a corner by Savona.

Constant pressure from the local ladies paid off 20 minutes into half time.
A brilliant header by Savona beat the goalie once again increasing the lead to three goals to nil.
One minute later Leila scored her second goal just inside the box after she blasted the ball past the diving Anguillan goalkeeper.

In the 81st minute the pint-sized Savona completed her hat-trick finding the back of the net once again with a right foot screamer from 25 yards out.  Earlier, a six-goal performance from Qauesi Soriano helped the Dominican Republic to complete a nine to one victory over Antigua.
