Lalsa Jr. in fine all round performance

Berbice Under-17 player Derick Narine-Lalsa Jr. turned in a fine all-rounded performance for one-time champion D’Edward in their hip victory over Rosignol United when the 2011 New Building Society Division limited overs cricket competition continued recently.
Lalsa Jr. slammed 87 to steer D’Edward to 229 all out in 39.1 overs.

When Rosignol replied, he took4 for 25 from 6.4 overs which, together with opening left arm pacer, Christian France’s  5 for 57 from eight overs helped dismiss Rosignol for 128, despite a fighting knock of 88 not out from opening batsman and former national volleyball captain, Seon Glasgow.

Also scoring half centuries were Guyana under-19 batsman, Kandasammy Surujnarine and Doodnauth Lallbeharry, both playing for Albion Community Centre in their victory over Tamarind Root.
