Scotiabank announces ScotiaLine ‘open loan’

Scotiabank is now offering a line of credit called ScotiaLine to customers in Guyana at what it described as a low introductory rate at 9.99%.

Scotiabank said in a press release that ScotiaLine functions like an “open loan” and once you’re approved, the money is available for you to access at any time, either by cheque, phone, online or at any Scotiabank branch.

With a personal loan you make a one-time withdrawal of your total loan amount, and pay back a set amount every month, but the ScotiaLine differs because it’s accessible at anytime, the release explained. Moreover, you can even set up your own repayment schedule and decide if you want to pay it in full every month, make a minimum payment or establish fixed repayments.

According to Scotiabank Guyana Country Manager, Amanda St. Aubyn, with ScotiaLine you can be your own loan manager and there’s a pre-set limit that you control and interest is only charged on the amount you withdraw. In addition, you can also control how much you spend and set up a repayment schedule that works for you.

More details can be found online at www.guyana.scotiabank.com/scotialine or persons can visit the nearest Scotiabank branch, the release added.
