Ramotar to meet CEOs

Chairman of the Private Sector Commission, Ramesh Dookhoo met with President Donald Ramotar at the Office of the President yesterday in what the former described as a warm-up meeting for a larger engagement between the President and heads of various private sector companies tomorrow.

In a brief comment to the Government Information Agency, Dookhoo said that the CEOs of the companies will be afforded an opportunity to interact with the President in an informal setting to discuss various issues affecting the Private Sector.

The President is also Chairman of the National Competitiveness Council within which the Private Sector plays an integral role. Dookhoo said that competitiveness issues, along with the Linden to Lethem road and others related to infrastructure were raised at yesterday’s meeting.
