Pupils treated for food poisoning

Five pupils from the St Ambrose Primary School, Queenstown yesterday were treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital for food poisoning.

The Georgetown Hospital in a release said that around 4:00pm five students were taken to the Accident and Emergency Unit after having reportedly suffering food poisoning. One student is 10 years and the remaining four are 11 years old.

The details surrounding the incident are unclear since the parents and teachers of the students were not willing to speak.

When Stabroek News visited the School yesterday the Head Mistress referred it to the Ministry of Education.
