Ministry honours GPHC assistant director of nursing

The management and staff of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) is extending felicitations to its Assistant Director of Nursing Services Noshella Lalckecharan, who is one of several women who will be honoured for International Women’s Day.

In a press release, the GPH said “Sis Lalcke,” as she is commonly called, has been in the nursing profession since 1968 and she has been in the said post for over a decade. She is a trained Operating Room Nurse and Midwife. She was set to receive honours at the Ministry of Health’s video launch yesterday at the Umana Yana.

A proud mother of two, who also enjoys cooking and maintaining a healthy diet, Sis Lalcke is known for being very helpful and is always ready to give advice to anyone with whom she comes into contact. “Educate and respect yourself, learn to be independent, always strive for excellence and always portray professionalism in your respective places of employment,” is a bit of advice she always gives to young and budding nurses, the GPH said.

The hospital congratulated Sis Lalcke on her outstanding career and dedication, noting that she has provided a great humanitarian service to the Guyanese populace.
