At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday Shivraj Seudatt appeared before Magistrate Alan Wilson to answer the charge of unlawfully assaulting his reputed wife.
Suedatt and his wife Kishma Badree were living together at Belle West, Number 2 Canal, West Bank Demerara, but moved to Waterfront, Port Kaituma five months ago. On March 8, at their new home, the accused allegedly unlawfully assaulted Badree.
The accused was granted bail in the sum of $15,000, and the magistrate told him he must be of good behaviour after he is given his liberty.
He is scheduled to return to court at Matthew’s Ridge on May 2.
