Man remanded over possession of housebreaking tools

A man who was charged with possession of housebreaking tools with intent to commit a felony was refused bail in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday by acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

Conrad Lowe of 128 Third Street, Alexander Village, Georgetown, last Friday was allegedly found at night at Agricola, with a pair of gloves, a crowbar, two torch lights, one roll of duct tape and other housebreaking implements.

The man’s attorney Adrian Thompson told the court that his client is a mechanic and was working from another location and that was why he had the tools.

Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, objected to bail and the accused has to return to Court Three on April 20.
