Dear Editor,
I am resident of McDoom East Bank. Since last year, the water has been turned off every weekend by the attendant without notice. It is turned off on Saturday and comes back on Sunday.
One Saturday last month it was cut off at 4.30 pm and did not come back on until 7am Sunday morning. Then at 9.30am it was cut off again until 5.45 on Sunday afternoon.
When this happens and you dial the Guyana Water Authority, you only get the security and the recording machine. There is no one to tell you why the water was cut off. I would like some senior person to say something about this situation, because the weekends are when most persons wash and do many things that cannot be done without water.
