Police say that at about 07:30 hrs yesterday, two men armed with a gun robbed a director of Church’s Restaurant, Bourda, of an undisclosed amount of money and shot a man during their escape bid.
Police say that the director had just left the entity with a bag containing cash when one of the bandits confronted him and wrestled it from him, discharging a round in the process which struck Dennis Williams of Albouystown, Georgetown in his left instep. The gunman’s accomplice waited on a motorcycle on which they both escaped.
Williams is presently in a stable condition at the G.P.H.C as investigations continue.
