Public hospital paediatric ward get gifts valued $1.1M

Grant-a-Dream on May 28 donated items valued over $1M to the Paediatric Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.

In a press release, the hospital said the not-for-profit organisation has been collaborating with it for over a year during which it has made several contributions.

The items being handed over

Grant-a-Dream donated items ranging from pulse oximeters, thermometers, blood pressure units, all designed for children, scrubs for nurses, mattress covers, bed sheets and educational materials all to a total value of $1.1M.

Carl Shivraj, director/treasurer of the group, along with four other group members presented the items to the Ward Manager. The hospital CEO said he was grateful for the donations, the release said.
