Thirty-two in court in T&T for lewd dancing

(Trinidad Guardian) A total of 32 people are expected to appear before a Tunapuna magistrate today to answer charges of engaging in lewd and suggestive dancing. The women were arrested early yesterday morning while attending a party in Tunapuna. According to reports at around 4 am, officers of the Tunapuna Police Station led by Sgt Mark Maharaj, acting on a tip-off, went to the house at Sealey Drive, Meade Street in Tunapuna.

Upon entering the house, the officers noticed a group of 15 nude women dancing in a corner of the room at the time. Police also discovered 17 men, some semi-nude and others who were naked, dancing with the women. All the occupants of the house were arrested and taken to the Tunapuna Police Station where they were charged.

Up to late yesterday they remained detained at the station. The men were charged with aiding and abetting their female counterparts. The owner of the property was also detained and charged with selling alcohol without a liquor licence. Investigators believe that those arrested were members of an “orgy or swingers club” which operated in north Trinidad using different locations each month.

Police also seized a number of exotic sexual paraphernalia and camera equipment which were  found throughout the house. The organiser of the party was planning to sell video recordings of lewd acts to local porn enthusiasts, police said.
