Annual P&P Insurance Brokers tennis camp starts today

Both events are scheduled to run for approximately two weeks, favourable weather permitting.

The tennis camp, which will run through to July 20, will be held at the courts of the Le Meridien Pegasus Hotel and will cater particularly at encouraging the novices to get into the sport or to develop their skills. The camp, which is open to individuals aged 6 to 18 years old, usually attracts around 60 – 80 participants, a release from the association stated.

This year participants will be separated into two categories based on age; sessions for the 6 – 11 years will be held from 9 – 11 am, while 12 – 18 years old will have sessions from 12 – 2 pm.

This year will be the ninth edition of the camp run by the GTA with sponsorship from P&P Insurance Brokers.

“Most of the advanced junior players currently at the top of their game were once participants in this great event. They have all developed their game initially through the Park Players Tennis Club which took full advantage of this activity from the onset under the guidance of former National Coach Debbie Bunbury and National Coach Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan,”  stated the release.

Parents are reminded to be present to complete registration with fees at 8:00am today so that the Opening Ceremony for the Camp can start on schedule at 8:30am
