A 26-year-old female security guard of Liliendaal who was accused of maliciously damaging a windshield appeared yesterday before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton.
Cathy Massiah of Lot 20 Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge which stated that on July 5 at Georgetown, she unlawfully and maliciously damaged one windshield valued at $70,000, property of Joel Bains. No facts of what occurred on the day in question were related to the court. Massiah who was unrepresented by counsel applied for bail and the prosecution raised no objection. The defendant was placed on $20,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court on July 24.
