Food for the Poor donates electronic chairs to Disability Commission, Ptolemy Reid reps

Food for the Poor (Guyana) Incorporated (FFTP) donated two electronic wheelchairs to Simone Poole and Stacy Johnson, of the National Commission on Disability and the Ptomely Reid Rehabilitation Centre, respectively, on Thursday.

According to a release from FFTP, the donation was made at its main office in Festival City, North Ruimveldt, where Senior Manager Kent Vincent said that the organisation was pleased to assist Poole and Johnson to carry out their duties in a more efficient and speedy manner while.

Administrator of the National Commission on Disability Beverley Pile also expressed thanks and gratitude to FFTP, saying that the chairs would enaable the two young women to access their place of work easier.

Both recipients said that the acquisition of the chairs would enhance their mobility and assist them tremendously in helping others, the release added.
