Ne-Yo to release ‘R.E.D.’ album in September

(Billboard) – After giving fans a taste of his fifth studio album, ‘R.E.D.’, with his first single, “Lazy Love,” Ne-Yo reveals the release date for the full-length opus. ‘R.E.D.’ will be released on Sept 18.

‘R.E.D.’, an acronym for ‘Realizing Every Dream’, will be Ne-Yo’s first release on Motown Records. Earlier this year, he made the move from Island Def Jam to the legendary, rebranded label and named Senior Vice President of A&R.

On July 9, Ne-Yo unvelied ‘R.E.D.’‘s second single, “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself),” which features Sia.

Along with “Lazy Love” and “Let Me Love You,” the album will also include tracks such as “Unconditional,” “Jealous” and “Should Be You.”
Before moving to Motown, Ne-Yo made his mark with two No. 1 albums, 2006’s ‘In My Own Words’ and 2007’s ‘Because of You’.
