Hand grenade thrown at NA restaurant

A fragmentation hand-grenade, which failed to go off, was thrown on the veranda of the building housing the Chester’s fried chicken restaurant in New Amsterdam yesterday.

Police cordoned off the building and safely removed the device.

Police said the device was thrown on the veranda of a building that at Main and Kent streets, in New Amsterdam at around 11:50am.
