The water supply to Wisroc and other communities in Region 10 was disrupted yesterday due to a main being damaged by massive soil erosion in the Wisroc area.
Wisroc; One Mile and Half Mile, Wismar; Blue Berry Hill; and Canvas City were among the affected areas, after the disruption, Stabroek News was told.
In a statement, GWI advised customers served by the Wisroc Water Treatment Plant of the disruption, while saying its teams were working to restore normal service. “The company regrets any inconvenience caused,” it added, while advising that affected customers contact GWI’s Customer Services Call Centre on 227-8701, e-mail customercallcentre@gwi.gy or post via social media at www.facebook.com/everydropcountsgy for updates.
