Police say that at about 1920h last night, a speed boat plying the Bartica-Parika route collided with a small wooden boat operated by one Dyardard Sukhdeo and which had two male passengers on board.
As a result of the collision the three men fell overboard. One of them has not been seen since and is feared drowned.
Sukhdeo suffered injuries and has been admitted a patient at the GPHC.
The captain of the speed boat has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
