Security guard charged with stealing tools

A security guard accused of stealing $155,000 worth of tools was yesterday admitted to bail in the sum of $100,000 when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Accused is Louis Mc Donald, 37, who on August 17 at Eccles, East Bank Demerara,  is alleged to have stolen one crankshaft and a crusher-hammer totalling $155,000 in value, property of Khemraj Brijlal.

The defendant was not required to enter a plea to the indictable simple larceny charge when it was read to him.
