Obama will be a one-term president

Dear Editor,

In January 2010, I stated in SN that Barack Obama would be one-term president, and that he would be denied a second term by the jobs issue. Today, I still stand by that belief, which is now buttressed by the gut acceptance of too many Americans of the Tea Party and what it represents.

Rather sadly, some of the monumental achievements of President Obama will not matter in November.  In herculean fashion, and against all the odds, he saved the iconic American automobile industry.  He bailed out Wall Street, and rescued the world from a financial cataclysm.  Believe me it was close; it would have been unimaginably devastating.  He closed out one inherited war.  And he delivered something that defeated many presidents for over half a       century – a national healthcare reality.

As I said before, it will not matter.  Neither will the calibre of his opponent.  Let no one be fooled by the polls.  Despite all his achievements, Barack Obama will be a one-term president.  And jobs will be his blamed for his defeat.

Yours faithfully,
GHK Lall
