KINGSTON, Jamaica (Observer) — Accused porn-site mastermind Ronald Oates was offered a $500,000 bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s court yesterday
He is to return to Court on October 16.
Oates’ lawyer, Zara Lewis, made a bail application on his behalf on September 5, however, the judge granted an additional two weeks for the investigator to complete his work.
Twenty-seven-year-old Oates allegedly posted nude photographs of women on the Internet and is accused of extorting more than $100,000 from victims to remove the offending pictures.
He was arrested and charged in August.
