Man caught with ganja in bread at airport

A man, who was a passenger on a local flight to Port Kaituma, in the North West District,was found with over two kilogrammes of compressed marijuana concealed in loaves of bread yesterday.

Police said the man was nabbed with the 2.360 kg of marijuana by ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch at the Ogle Airport, on the East Coast of Demerara, where he was stopped and searched at about 5:55am.

The man has been arrested and is in police custody, police said, adding that charges will be made shortly.
