This car landed overboard along the Blygezight Railway Embankment, after it collided with a taxi, HB 511. The driver of the taxi, 32-year-old Sookdeo Sammy, was at the time heading east towards his Cummings Lodge home while the car above was coming from the opposite direction. Stabroek News was unable to speak to either drivers but they were up to press time receiving medical treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Relatives of Sammy told this newspaper that he was alone in his vehicle and had moments before the accident spoken to his mother via cell phone. They relayed that two females were in the other vehicle along with the driver.
