Vanderbilt University donates portable ultrasound machine to GPH

The University of Vander-bilt’s Emergency Medicine Residency Programme has donated a US$5,000 portable ultrasound machine to the Georgetown Public Hospital’s Accident and Emergency (A&E) Unit.

The machine is fully functional, the hospital said in a press release yesterday.

emergency medicine residents in the USA. Vanderbilt won the first cash prize and decided to purchase an ultrasound machine for its residents, who are attached to the Georgetown hospital.

The machine is expected to significantly improve services at the A&E Unit as it provides “instantaneous” results. The hospital extended gratitude to the emergency medicine residents at Vanderbilt for their sterling contribution.
