Kenny Rock, accused of assaulting his common-law wife, had the charge against him dropped on Tuesday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It was alleged that on November 17, Rock unlawfully assaulted and threatened Chickel Becker at Barrack Street.
Standing before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Becker asked that the charges be dropped against Rock.
The magistrate, however, asked Becker if she wanted to file for protection order and the complainant agreed. Rock and Becker was both ordered to seek counseling.
